We are gathering in Iron Springs, in southern Alberta, just north of Lethbridge. Iron Springs is a small community (blink and you miss it!) on Alberta Highway 25, northeast of Lethbridge. The site is a local school and looks like it has just about anything we will need.
The Huntsville School is located right on highwy 25, on the west side of Iron Springs. We will have the use of the grounds (Camping will be permitted), the kitchen, washrooms and even the use of the gymnasium for an old fashioned 1950's Sock Hop if we choose! (Remember them?) We will, of course, be responsible for keeping everything clean and in order, as the low, low rental fee does not include custodian services. The basic schedule will go something like this:
Friday, August 4, 2006: Early arrivals and registration Provide your own meals. Saturday, August 5, 2006: Breakfast provided Later arrivals, registration continues Lunch on your own as desired Dinner/Supper Pot luck. (A chance to show off your culinary skills!) Kids auction sale with "funny money". (Have your kids bring some small item to donate for the auction.) Sunday, August 6, 2006: Breakfast provided Lunch on your own, as desired. Barbeque dinner provided. Adults Auction with "real money". (Please bring a craft or some item that is indicative of who you are, or what you do to donate to the auction) Monday, August 7, 2006: Breakfast provided Lunch on your own, as desired. Clean up the gounds and facilities (everybody helps, please!) Pack up and depart on your own schedule (Safe trip Home!)
A NOTE ON THE ADULTS' AUCTION: This is where we get the bulk of the funds to run the reunion, and enables us to keep registration fees so low. Please bring something to contribute to the auction, and be prepared to bid on something to take home with you.
REGISTRATION FEES: $15.00 per person 18 and over. Infants, children and youths under 18 FREE!!!

A few snapshots of the location.
Since the location is a school grounds there will is a ball diamond, outdoor basketball nets and a playground. Don't forget your gloves, bats, balls, basketballs etc. We hope to have a dance, but it will have to be a "Sock Hop" as outdoor shoes are not permitted on the gym floor. The gym floor is being refinished just before we get there and it would be unfortunate if it were marred before the school got to use it.
